Register for WES Webinar on Syrian Refugee Crisis: Method for Credential Assessment

This webinar will give a brief overview of the Syrian education system, the refugee crisis, and discuss issues surrounding credential assessment for refugees with limited documentation. It will also cover assessment practices from a range of countries and describe World Education Services (WES) methodology for assessing credentials held by refugees. These practices will hopefully aid institutions in their efforts to assist refugee applicants. Topics covered include: Syrian refugee crisis and what’s being done to help; an overview of the education system in Syria; WES assessment method of refugee academic documents from Syria and potential challenges; and how the educational community (e.g., academic institutions, licensing boards, school districts) can assist in the assessment process.
