The deadline to apply for the 2017-2018 Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar competition is Monday, August 1, 2016. The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers more than 500 awards in teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries for the 2017-2018 academic year. Opportunities are available for college and university faculty and administrators as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars and many others.

• Israel: Postdoctoral Award - Open to early career scholars in all areas of the sciences, arts, humanities or social
sciences.
• France Regional Awards: Proposals for research projects will be evaluated not only for their scholarly, artistic or
professional excellence, but also for their potential to increase mutual understanding and create future
collaborations between France and the United States:
• Mexico: Fulbright-Carlos Rico Award for North American Studies - Multi-disciplinary or interdisciplinary projects
relevant to the trilateral relationship between the United States, Mexico and Canada.
• Taiwan: Teaching English as a Foreign Language - Teach/research in multiple areas of focus, including
elementary/middle school education, teacher training, and curriculum development.
