IIE Welcomes New Trustees Mahboob Mahmood and Cathy Martine

The Institute of International Education (IIE) has named two leading executives from the telecommunications and education technology industries to its Board of Trustees. Cathy Martine is President, National Business, AT&T Business Solutions & International, leading one of AT&T’s largest business units that serves approximately 95% of AT&T’s business customers in the U.S. with mobility and highly secure cloud solutions. Cathy holds a B.A. in Economics from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY (summa cum laude). She also holds a M.S. from M.I.T., where she was a Sloan Fellow. In addition, she holds an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.
Mahboob Mahmood is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Knowledge Platform. Established in 2000, Knowledge Platform is a leading Asian learning solutions company, with a presence in Singapore, China, India, and Pakistan, and partners in the Philippines and Thailand. Knowledge Platform provides high impact, 'next-generation' learning solutions for the educational and corporate sector. Mr. Mahmood received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1986, Diploma in International and Comparative Law from Columbia University School of Law in 1986, M.A. in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University in 1987, and B.A. in Politics from Princeton University in 1981. He has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1987.
