The 6th Global Internship Conference (GIC) will be held June 12-15, 2012, at the University of California, Berkeley campus. The purpose of the GIC is to gather parties related to international and domestic internships for college and university students.
The goal of this annual Conference is to discuss the challenges that face the growing industry of the internship and share best practices in order to create the best possible experience for the students and their families. The Conference will explore the current debates such as paid and unpaid placements, academic credit, and the role of company recruiters. Attendance will be comprised of university career professionals, college internship liaison officers, academics, third-party internship providers, HR professionals from private and public industries, governmental representatives, and students from the Berkeley and San Francisco area.
