Salwan Media in partnership with US India Business Council (USIBC), Knowledge@Wharton, and International Herald Tribune (the global edition of the New York Times) is hosting a conference on education: "One Globe: Uniting Knowledge Communities" in New Delhi on February 3-4, 2012, at the Taj Mahal Hotel.
The conference spans two days, with the first day focused on the macro issues of creating a 21st century knowledge economy and the second day focused on students from India going abroad to study with participation from foreign universities and experts. The conference is focused on what it takes to create a 21st century knowledge economy. It will cover topics like higher education, vocational training, skills development, economic development, gender and education, infrastructure/urbanization, design, technology, technology and innovation, and how the confluence of these multiple areas is essential in creating a 21st century knowledge economy. It will bring together global and local perspectives from think tanks, businesses, government, policy-makers, investors, multilateral institutions, foreign universities, skill development/vocational training organizations, and leading NGO’s to the challenge and opportunity of creating a 21st century knowledge economy.
