Article: In Study Abroad, Men Are Hard to Find

An article in the Chronicle of Higher Education considers some of the reasons why women have higher rates of studying abroad than men. As the article notes, "In the 2009-10 academic year, women accounted for nearly two-thirds of 270,600 American students going overseas." Ways to increase men’s participation in study abroad include more targeted outreach and greater emphasis on the real-world value of the experience.
