SRF Alumnus Guilain Mathe Founds the Great Lakes Peace Initiative Center (GLPIC) in the Democratic Republic of Congo

The Great Lakes Peace Initiative Centre (GLPIC) is an academic and philanthropic association that was initiated by Scholar Rescue Fund alumnus Guilain Mathe in February 2010, in collaboration with a dozen of young researchers based in the North Kivu region of the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The mission of the GLPIC is to contribute to the consolidation of human security in the African Great Lakes Region (and in the African continent in general) by promoting human rights and democratic governance. The Center recently opened their new offices in Goma, DRC, and launched a new website.
