Ten Inspiring Scholars to Celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of SRF

To mark its 10th anniversary this year, IIE's
Scholar Rescue Fund (SRF) is featuring the inspiring stories of 10 threatened scholars whose lives and academic work have been saved by the Fund. The third featured scholar is Maimul Ahsan Khan, currently Professor of Law at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. His expertise ranges from human rights to Muslim legal issues and the law and politics of the Middle East, Central and South Asia. Through a SRF fellowship in 2002, Professor Khan joined the faculty of the University of California, Davis, and was co-hosted by the University of California, Berkeley. Since then, he has been able to return to his position in Bangladesh.
