Project Funds for Norwegian-North American Higher Education Collaboration

Norwegian institutions of higher education are invited to apply for funds for projects related to higher education collaboration with institutions in the United States and Canada. The project funds are provided through the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research’s North America Strategy for Higher Education Cooperation (2012-2015). The funds are managed by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU). The final deadline for applications is September 26, 2012, at 15.00/3 PM Norwegian time.

The aims of the project funds are:

• To contribute to the establishment and development of institutional partnerships through academic collaboration between higher education institutions in Norway and North America
• To contribute to increased mobility of students and staff between Norway and North America

The application must be submitted by an accredited Norwegian higher education institution. Eligible partner countries are the United States and Canada. Projects may apply for funding up to NOK 150,000.
