Scholarship for Peruvian Women Studying in the DC Metropolitan Area

The Rowe Fund Student loan program of the Organization of American States (OAS) is offering scholarships for Peruvian women to help finance their higher education in the DC metropolitan area (The Mac Lean Scholarship Fund). The Mac Lean Scholarship Fund was established through the bequest of Julia Mac Lean, a former General Secretariat staff member of the Organization of American States.
The candidate must:
- Be a female Peruvian national studying in any university in the Washington DC metropolitan area
- Have a GPA of at least 3.0
- Be enrolled full-time in a degree program at an accredited university in the Washington DC metropolitan area
- Possess a Student Academic or Exchange Visitor visa (J, F, or M)
- Be able to demonstrate other sources of financing to cover the greater part of the academic expenses for their present studies, such as savings, employment, or other scholarships
- Commit to return to Peru within a year of completing her studies in the United States, with the purpose of applying her knowledge and training.
