Attend Higher Education Conference in Gujarat, India

Sponsored by the Government of Gujarat, the International Conference of Academic Institutions (ICAI) will take place just prior to the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit, from January 9-10, 2013 at the Padit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) Campus in Gandhinagar. ICAI 2013 will provide a platform for the discussion of trends and best practices in the internationalization of higher education, and will bring together leaders from academia, government, and the education industry. The event will also provide a networking opportunity for institutions seeking to develop long-term strategic partnerships in the areas of education process, research, faculty and student exchange, and knowledge exchange and capacity building. 

The ICAI agenda will feature sessions on Building Sustainable World Class Institutions, Development of Faculty and Student Excellence, Fostering Industry Institution Interface and Sharing of Expectations, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony.

Previously known as the International Roundtable of Academic Institutions (IRAI), the first IRAI gathering in 2011 saw the participation of 33 delegations from 25 universities in 9 countries and resulted in the signing of 74 MoUs and Letters of Intent for collaborations between Gujarat universities and industries and foreign universities. Over 100 foreign and 80 national universities will be represented at ICAI 2013.
