International and Diversity Offices Look for Ways to Work Together

Karin Fischer reports in a recent Chronicle of Higher Education article on a three-year project exploring the potential for collaboration between multicultural education and internationalization efforts on university campuses. Often housed in distinct offices, these efforts tend to have overlapping objectives. The project’s capstone, organized by the American Council on Education (ACE), invited dozens of institutions for a two-day meeting to discuss ways that faculty can collaborate rather than compete to promote cross-cultural understanding and diversity on campuses, "in all its forms."
