Connecting to the Generation Study Abroad Initiative

A recent Terra Dotta newsletter article by Gary Rhodes, Director, Center for Global Education at UCLA, discusses IIE’s Generation Study Abroad initiative and the challenges of collecting non-credit study abroad data. He makes the case for consolidating data on all student participation in international activities across campus, not just within a study abroad office. He cites better health and safety policy as a primary benefit to centralization, but also increased opportunities to inform students about for-credit opportunities abroad.
