In its first year, WeTech (Women Enhancing Technology) reached over 4,000 women and girls across three continents. WeTech is a consortium of dedicated partners that joined IIE through the Clinton Global Initiative in 2013 to design and support a series of innovative activities to provide training, build networks, and offer professional opportunities. It helps women and girls enter and succeed in technology careers with the goal of enhancing women’s talent and skills needed to fuel technological and economic growth.

WeTech now includes four programs, including the Seed Fund for Girls + Women in Computer Science in Africa program in partnership with Google, which has provided grants of up to $20,000 to 35 organizations in Africa to involve more women and girls in computer science-related opportunities.
