Over the past two weeks, the Institute of International Education’s Center for International Partnerships in Higher Education has been leading a delegation of administrators from Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on a study tour of higher education institutions across the United States. Supported by the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta through the Facilitative Assistance Visitor Program, the delegation is traveling to campuses from Portland, Oregon, to Washington, D.C., to meet with higher education leaders and foster ties between the U.S. and Indonesia.
Supporting the theme, "Strengthening Existing Partnerships and Exploring News Areas of Collaboration," the study tour aims to strengthen existing partnership activities between Universitas Gadjah Mada and institutions in the U.S., explore new potential areas of collaboration, discuss the implementation of joint activities, and increase U.S. institutions’ understanding of UGM and Indonesian higher education.
