Article: Fulbright Program Set to Resume in Libya

The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that "the U.S. State Department plans to resume the Fulbright program of student and scholar exchanges in Libya as part of an $11-million aid package for the country, reports the Associated Press. The package, which will be announced today during a visit to Tripoli by Secretary of State Hillary R. Clinton, will also include restarting an English-language training program and providing funds for Oberlin College to study archaeological ruins in eastern Libya. The Fulbright program was suspended in Libya when the United States closed its embassy there because of the civil war."
