The Associate Dean for Global-Local Programs and Founding I-GLAS Director will provide strong academic leadership and vision for I-GLAS, infusing the College curriculum with critical community-based learning, research, and action initiatives that connect the global and the local; and encouraging faculty/student global-local research projects and new courses that build on the College’s successful community engagement and study abroad programs.
He or she will also oversee the Institute’s budget, teach two courses a year related to global-local issues, and advise students. This tenure-track faculty position is open with respect to rank. We favor candidates who contribute to the College’s distinctive educational objectives, which promote interdisciplinary perspectives, intercultural understanding, and concern with social responsibility and the ethical implications of knowledge and action.
