The new newsletter from the UK Higher Education International Unit focuses on the role that higher education plays in shaping the future, particularly in the context of societies in the throes of rapid change. Items in the newsletter address countries as diverse as Burma, Afghanistan, and Egypt. One particular item focuses on the British Universities’ Iraq Consortium, which is an independent organization of 38 British universities that supports the development of higher education in Iraq.
