Applications for the Institute of International Education (IIE) New Leaders Group Award for Mutual Understanding are available now. The Award recognizes the outstanding work of one current or recently returned (since May 1, 2012) Fulbright Fellow or Scholar who actively promotes mutual understanding between the United States and another country. Fellows and Scholars from all fields and academic disciplines are eligible to apply. 

The project must be an ongoing activity that is currently underway; it cannot be a proposal for a project to be done in the future. The Award celebrates some of the best and brightest young professionals and encourages them to contribute and further promote their innovative ideas, valuable knowledge and dedication to the cause of mutual understanding. 

The IIE New Leaders Group will select the $5,000 prize recipient. Learn more about the Award, including past recipients, and download the application here.
