The IIE/India team is pleased to announce the launch of a new program supported by The Verizon Foundation to accelerate STEM education access among young school girls in South of India. Verizon representatives traveled to Chennai and Hyderabad last week to visit schools and hold stakeholders meetings with U.S. consulate representatives, the CEO and senior management of Verizon, parents, teachers and selected students. We hope this pilot program will usher in larger investments in girls education programs in the future.
