The Fulbright Association announced Dr. Hans Blix as the winner of the J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding. Dr. Blix dedicated much of his life to controlling the spread of nuclear weapons and the capacity of nations to produce them. He is best known as Chair of the International Atomic Energy Agency during a period of great tension in the Middle East.
