Dr. Alison Bernstein, Director of the Rutgers University Institute for Women’s Leadership, calls on the international academic community to join over 300 universities around the world that have provided respite and relief to threatened scholars. Since making a commitment in 2013 to host annually an IIE-SRF scholar, Rutgers University has hosted three scholars from Ethiopia, Iran, and Iraq.
