Since 2005, Jordan has generously opened its doors to nearly 100
IIE Scholar Rescue Fund grantees, the vast majority of whom were fleeing violence from neighboring Iraq. Following the summer 2014 crisis in northern Iraq, IIE-SRF's partner institutions in Jordan responded promptly to the need by offering temporary appointments to IIE-SRF scholars from Mosul and Tikrit in particular. Jordan now ranks second globally for the number of IIE-SRF scholars welcomed to its campuses.
