With over 50 award offerings and close to 150 grants available to 17 countries in the East Asia and the Pacific region, the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers a variety of support for U.S. faculty, researchers and professionals at every stage of their career. Applications in all disciplines are endorsed and flexible grant options are supported, including short-term Specialist grants and Flex grants (short-term, segmented research grants).
Highlights
Increase the awareness of the study of American politics and government in Australia, and to promote comparative and collaborative research in political science between Australia and the United States.
Explore new avenues for professional development in contemporary, China studies of political, social, and cultural developments.
Examine the shared history and economic landscape present in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Research from both sides of the Strait to gain different perspectives on common issues both past and present.
Work with Indonesian scientists on building university educational programs in the sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematic fields.
Collaborate with Korean counterparts on U.S.-Korean foreign policy, history, global governance, law and economic matters. Grants will support three to nine months of research at a public, national, or private academic institution in Korea.
Lecture on American business practices, economic policy and foreign policy at various institutions in Manila, Luzon and Visayas for up to 3 weeks.
