The U.S. Department of State's
Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program would like to invite you, your colleagues, and students to the fifth webinar in our Gilman Web Symposium Series for the 2014-2015 academic year, "Studying and Interning in China and the Americas."
This web symposium, moderated by Gilman Program staff member Courtney Castillo, will bring together representatives from the U.S. Department of State and EducationUSA to discuss the importance of China and the Americas to U.S. foreign policy and higher education, giving a current overview of their country or region of expertise and projections for the future. Two Gilman alumni will also provide insight from their experience studying abroad in China and Costa Rica. The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs encourages students to not only consider studying and interning abroad, but also to explore non-traditional locations as they build upon mutual cultural understanding.
The Gilman International Scholarship Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE). To learn more about the Gilman Scholarship Program, please visit the website at
