Partners of the Americas' 100,000 Strong in the Americas Fund is an excellent resource for campuses seeking to expand study abroad initiatives. The U.S. Department of State, Partners of the Americas, and NAFSA launched the Fund to mobilize resources and distribute challenge grants to colleges and universities to exponentially grow study abroad. There are two current competitions open for higher education institutions. Promoting Study Abroad in Environmental Sciences with an Emphasis on Water (for applicants in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and the United States) and Promoting Study Abroad in Engineering, Physics, Geology and Geophysics (for applicants in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, Mexico, and the United States).
