Beyond its advocacy with federal regulators, ILTA offered several resources to help its members keep up to date as well as share and discuss operational issues related to the Colonial Pipeline outage. Specifically, ILTA held two webinars for its members specific to operational issues encountered by the incident and members’ needs—both for advocacy and information. ILTA set up a resource center on its website and began sending two informational emails daily to its members. One was a Situational Report and Analysis, outlining the association’s advocacy efforts, operational challenges at terminals, government response (including temporary easing of regulations and practices) and legislative proposals to address cybersecurity and fuel issues. ILTA also released a daily news digest to keep its members abreast of the latest developments and news related to the outage.
