Working again with Conn Maciel Carey LLP, ILTA and a coalition of companies and trade associations across numerous industries submitted comments to OSHA on its recent advance notice of public rulemaking on Heat Injury and Illness Prevention in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings.
OSHA has signaled its intent to form a National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety (NACOSH) work group “to help engage stakeholders and better understand current best practices and challenges in occupational heat illness prevention.” Likewise, OSHA will eventually empanel a Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act (SBREFA) panel.
The discussion on this topic is far from over and ILTA will continue to work with CMC on behalf of the terminals industry. You can find a copy of the submitted letter here.
