ILTA is extremely pleased to announce that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on January 19 finalized its new rule expanding the use of in-service tank inspections.
President Biden issued a series of executive orders within hours of taking the oath of office to reverse many of Trump’s orders, including a host related to climate, the environment and energy.
Following an election on November 3 that defied nearly every norm and many expectations, Democrats won unified control of the federal government after two January 6 U.S. Senate runoffs in Georgia were called in their favor.
The Biden Administration has ordered the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and a subagency to determine by March 15 if there is a need for emergency temporary standards to protect workers from on-the-job COVID–19 infections. If Labor determines that such an ETS is necessary, a future ETS could require employers to follow a specific set of rules and regulations aimed at protecting the health and safety of workers. The Executive Order on Protecting Worker Health and Safety also directs the Department of Labor to issue updated guidance to employers on workplace safety during the COVID–19 pandemic.
The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers Association has prepared a spreadsheet with information relative to each state’s COVID-19 vaccination plans, including phasing information for essential manufacturers (like terminals), links to each state’s plan, other relevant links, and information on how to become a vaccine provider as point of dispensing (POD). Green Plains Partners LP have agreed to the sale of its Green Plains Ord, Nebrask ethanol facility to Green Plains Ord LLC for an estimated $27 milllion and the transfer of several railcar leases. LHT Terminal Vice President Greg Johnson will present his white paper on vapor recovery unit valve failures at ILTA’s next terminal-member virtual roundtable on February 18 at 4 p.m. Eastern Time. ILTA intends to leave time to discuss the results of a recent worker-vaccination survey.
