Issue Update
The Gasoline Distribution Working Group continue to work to educate EPA on the potential impacts of a new rule under development at the agency that could impose more stringent requirements on hazardous air pollution (HAP) emissions associated with gasoline distribution.
On January 10, 2022, EPA submitted for White House regulatory review its highly anticipated proposal to designate the two most widely studied per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), PFOA and PFOS, as hazardous substances under the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation & Liability Act (CERCLA).

Phillips 66 (NYSE: PSX) and H2 Energy Europe (“H2 Energy”) announced on February 7 their commitment to develop up to 250 retail hydrogen refueling stations across Germany, Austria and Denmark by 2026 through a 50-50 joint venture between their subsidiaries, Phillips 66 Limited and H2 Energy Europe AG. The agreement is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
