The International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA) is excited to announce the addition of five new members to its Board of Directors for 2025. The newly elected fabricator directors include Kellie Akins, Omar Chahin, Troy Page, Sheri Pruitt, and Chad Thompson.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these new board members, whose diverse experiences will help drive ISFA forward in 2025,” said Marissa Bankert, CEO of ISFA. “Our leadership team is committed to providing valuable resources, programs, and events to support fabricators across the industry.”
Returning to the board in 2025 are Ted Sherritt, President; Austin Maxwell, Secretary; Travis McDermott, Vice President; Jessica McNaughton, Treasurer; Joe Duszka, Director; Mike Henry, Director; Troy Ellsoos, Director; Todd Scott, Director; Meagan Hegland, Associate Partner Representative; and Frank Sciarrino, Associate Partner Representative.
 
ISFA looks forward to a dynamic 2025 with this strong leadership team focused on advancing the surface fabrication industry.

  
The International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA) proudly announces the winners of the 2024 ISFA Awards, celebrating excellence in surfacing applications, fabrication, and installation. Recognizing outstanding projects in five categories, the awards honor fabricators who exemplify the highest standards in safety, training, and technology.
 
Winners were revealed at the 2024 ISFA Annual Conference in Miami, FL. Awards were presented for:
  • Excellence in Commercial Projects Under $100K: Gecko Solid Surface Solutions for the RWE Project.
  • Excellence in Commercial Projects Over $100K: Ellis Page for the Tysons Trillium Project.
  • Excellence in Residential Projects Under $20K: Alpha Granite and Tile for the Geometric Fireplace.
  • Excellence in Residential Projects Over $20K: Surface Providers for “Not Your Average Countertops.
  • Sustainable Project of the Year: The Countertop Factory-Midwest for the Green Rose Dispensary.
Additional honors included Fabricator of the Year awarded to Nate Kolenski of Block Tops, and ISFA Hall of Fame Inductee Dr. Michael A. Banks for his significant contributions to the industry.
“The ISFA Awards celebrate the innovative use of surfacing materials and recognize the exceptional efforts of our members,” said Ted Sherritt, ISFA President. “We are thrilled to honor these talented fabricators and industry leaders.”

BDNY’s self-described goal for their annual tradeshow is to connect “boutique hospitality brands and designers with exceptional vendors, insider experiences, and hospitality products not found anywhere else.”

ISFA and NSI are proud to present a literature review that summarizes the growing library of studies related to respirable crystalline silica (RCS) exposure. Completed by Yale Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the study covers 34 publications and documents focused primarily on materials and work methods specific to RCS exposure from the fabrication of natural and engineered stone countertops.
