2015 ISTAT Internships – Ready for Take-Off

This past summer the ISTAT Foundation re-launched our Internship Program to match organizations with future industry experts and leaders. The feedback was hugely positive, paving the way for a revamped and expanded 2015 schedule!
The ISTAT Committee is currently gearing up for the expanded Summer 2015 Internship Program. The Internship Committee is actively seeking organizations around the globe to become part of this exciting program. The simple yet efficient web portal allows easy review of candidates, credentials and materials, and offers access to a fantastic intern recruiting pool. Aside from being a portal to bring two parties together, we have baked in a financial benefit for the students as well. If there is an employer and student match, the student qualifies for up to $2,000 in addition to the employer’s salary. This will help a student with housing and/or travel expenses, which can sometimes impede an otherwise well-qualified candidate from accepting a position that may be outside of their current locale. Concurrent with opening the site up to prospective employers, we are also launching a letter to every college and university that offers an aviation program in order to create an awareness of the ISTAT Internship Program. This will ensure a larger pool of student candidates who share a passion for aviation. If you find the prospect of becoming part of the student candidate pool interesting, then the ISTAT Committee would like to provide further details to get your intern recruitment off the ground. There is no obligation on your part to select any students, so you have nothing to lose by posting your position on the ISTAT site. However, the deadline to become part of this exciting program is approaching. The best student candidates start summer internship planning in the late fall/early winter of the previous year, so we want to have as many positions as possible posted by early January to give you the first crack at the best and brightest students.
