ISTAT Asia Draws Record Attendance

The popularity of ISTAT Asia continues to grow each year, making 2015 the best yet. The fifth annual event achieved record-breaking attendance with more than 500 attendees. The conference took place from 10-12 May at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia, Singapore. Attendees from nearly 30 countries consisted of a large number of first-timers complementing faithful ISTAT event attendees.

The event included topics specific to the region, such as the Current Outlook for Asia Pacific Aviation Market, The Evolution of the Chinese Aviation Industry, Managing the Largest Wave of Asian Aircraft Retirements in History and the New Asian Aviation Capital Panel.  A special address from a LinkedIn representative changed up the program by sharing with attendees how the social platform can be used for networking in the aviation industry.

As in past years, there were many new faces on stage and the panels represented speakers from countries throughout the Asia Pacific region, including India, Japan, China and Australia. ISTAT members may access presentations provided by speakers on the ISTAT website, or attendees may access in the event mobile app.

With networking breaks and evening receptions spread throughout the schedule, plus the addition of The Deal Zone, ISTAT Asia did not disappoint with opportunities to meet fellow members, create new partnerships and deepen existing ones. The event included a poolside opening reception, a first-time Women’s Networking Reception in Conjunction with IAWA and a memorable reception Monday evening at Gardens by the Bay, a spectacular waterfront garden and awe-inspiring green space in Singapore. The Singapore Community of Regional Aviation Professionals Society (SCRAPS) hosted attendees at a lively venue Tuesday evening to close out the event.

Next year, ISTAT Asia returns to Tokyo 17-19 May.
