NACAS South Drive-In
March 25, 2014: Join your Auxiliary Services colleagues for a NACAS South Drive-In workshop at Elon University on March 25. This one-day workshop will include discussions about the recent sales tax changes in North Carolina and the possibility of future changes directly affecting Auxiliary Services. The most significant change was the January 1, 2014 repeal of the sales tax exemption on student meal plans, which had been in place since at least 1957. Presenters from the North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR), as well as the Duke University Vice President and the UNC-system Director for Government Relations, will share their expertise on the legislative process, clarify legislation with potential future impacts, and explain how Auxiliary professionals can voice concerns. The afternoon will be spent touring the campus of Elon University and sharing updates on recent changes on campuses. Space is limited; RSVP quickly. Learn more
