NACAS Board Meeting

During this strategic planning session, the Board decided on the direction for the organization’s vision statement and the three big strategic goals for the next three to five years. NACAS is excited to being working with our leadership through committees, regions, and staff to implement a tactical plan that will help us achieve these goals!

The Board developed a clear direction on three strategic goals around the NACAS brand and thought leadership in the industry, programs and services, and membership value. The Board will define auxiliary services as a function of services that enrich the quality of life for students, rather than trying to define Auxiliary Services as a single department or entity on campus (it’s all in the lower case a!). The group also discussed some big priorities for NACAS this year such as research and the launch of some new member resources.

Education Foundation Board Meeting

The Education Foundation Board discussed the psychology of giving and peer-to-peer fundraising. They also revisited and defined the purpose of the Foundation in supporting the NACAS mission. They came to the conclusion that the NACAS Education Foundation exists to support the association's greater mission. Furthermore, the staff and the Board will be working together to develop messaging around the story of what it means to give to NACAS, and the impact it has on the auxiliary services industry.

2018 C3X Site Visit

A group consisting of the 2018 C3X Committee and some members of the NACAS staff met in Orlando at the Rosen Shingle Creek, site of the C3X 2018 Annual Conference & Expo, as well as our 50th anniversary! They discussed the high-level vision for C3X next year, from education that our members will value to the experiences that will stick with them for a lifetime. The group is excited to embrace the association’s past 50 years and look ahead to the next 50 years!
