As you read this, your new 2015-2016 Board of Directors have been installed and will take their positions on July 1. I want to say a very big "thank you" to those who served on the outgoing Board during 2014-2015. You have worked very hard and given numerous hours to your chapter. The events for 2014-2015 were all very successful, fun and educational, and I speak for the whole chapter in sharing our appreciation. Thank You!
The new Board is full of enthusiasm and ideas, and I look forward to working with them to direct the chapter to even greater heights in the 2015-2016 year. You, the membership, have elected a fine group of dedicated members who have said they will work for the betterment of our chapter. When you see the new Board, give them your encouragement, and never shy away from letting them know what you are thinking about concerning the chapter’s direction. We want to know your feelings, and we want to use this input to provide events that excite and educate you.
I’ve had the benefit of serving as president for a little over five months, sort of on-the-job training. I promise you that I will work for you, planners and suppliers, and that every decision, every event, every educational endeavor will be designed to keep you involved and with a smile on your face. The world is fast-paced and ever-changing, and your Board will "Make a Good Plan – AND Be Spontaneous!"
Looking forward,
Phil Allemang, CAS
President
