Season’s greetings — I hope this finds you all well and closing out this year and preparing for the new year. Please remember — these are times we need to prioritize our health and the health of our family and friends.

As I close out my time on the board, I have been reflecting on how much ASHE means to me and how much volunteering to ASHE has given back to me. Participating in ASHE as an Advisory Board member has been one of the most rewarding things I have done, both professionally and personally. The leadership skills that were developed and the knowledge gained are benefit enough for the hours spent volunteering, however it is the people I have met and the friendships that I have made that that has resulted in this being a truly amazing experience. Working as a healthcare facility mangers, engineers, consultants, and vendors working is a truly unique experience that is difficult to explain to those that haven’t experienced it and to make true friends that endeavor to make our healthcare facilities better safer, more healing environments is extremely rewarding. It is not just a job or a career, but we all have a passion to make the world a better place and I really appreciate this in each of you. So, as I open the seat for another to share this experience, I offer to you to that when it comes to ASHE – get involved, if you are asked, say yes, if you aren’t asked – volunteer. You will benefit greatly and It is an experience you don’t want to miss. I want to thank you for letting me represent you on the ASHE Advisory Board as the Region 3 Board member these past four years – it has been a very humbling and gratifying experience.

The time I have spent at KSHE events and seeing you has been truly special. KSHE is a very special group of people and I have really enjoyed my time as your ASHE Board representative. The fun, food and fellowship in Louisville and Owensboro means a lot to me and I appreciate each of you and wish you the best.

Thank each of you for what you do every day – you make a difference!! Season’s greetings, Merry Christmas and have a very Happy New Year!
