President's Message
By Joe Taylor
My, what incredible times we are living in! I’m certain that the ONLY think top of mind for you now is the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on you, your loved ones, your work family, and our patients. Today we are being asked to think and act “out of the box” like we never have before. The Kentucky Society of Healthcare Engineers is one of the top ASHE chapters in the country, and we intend to lead and to support all of you during these trying times.

ASHE Update
American Society for Health Care Engineering
There has been a number of question regarding Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) during this pandemic. We have also received questions regarding fire drills. ASHE is currently working with CMS and the various accrediting organizations to develop national guidance on these issues. In the interim, we will provide you with a template that was developed with input from TJC, that will provide you with some relief from these requirements until such time national guidance is provided.
