Doug Mclean, Taymor Industries Ltd. VP Sales, New Construction, and General Manager for Eastern Canada congratulated Warehouse Manager Agrery Smith on 40 years on the job at Taymor in Toronto.
Agrery started in 1970 as Warehouse Manager for Taymor Toronto on Finch Avenue in Downsview. His knowledge of the history of the customer’s products, the industry and what it takes to be successful was recounted in a celebration with his fellow associates. As Taymor expanded in Eastern Canada, Agrery was instrumental in the move to their Limestone Crescent location and the latest move to the new Kennedy Road warehouse in Mississauga.
Mclean stated "Agrery continues to be instrumental to our success. He was, and still is, a great adopter of technology in warehousing – starting from Cardex, then to our MXP computer system with computer generated paper picks and finally migrating to our paperless RFID WMS environment that we work in today. He is an agent of change and carries an unwavering positive attitude that leads his teammates to follow".
Mclean commented that, "It is rare in today’s business world to have such a long-term associate and contributor to the same company. Agrery is one of those rare individuals."
Taymor is one of Canada’s leading suppliers of decorative and builders hardware with warehouses in Delta, BC and Mississauga, ON, and has served the home improvement and new construction markets for over 60 years.
