TIMBER MART Sends Newlyweds to IIHF World Juniors in Helsinki, Finland
 TIMBER MART is sending the grand-prize winners of its third annual SharpShooter photo contest to the IIHF World Junior Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Newlyweds, Haley and Matthew Kinden from Lewisporte, NL submitted photos of their hockey-themed wedding day which won them round-trip airfare, accommodations, tickets to the World Juniors and $500 in spending money.The TIMBER MART SharpShooter contest asked Canadians to share w  hat hockey means to them in a photo. From September 2nd to October 15th, over 700 photos were submitted through the contest website and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #TIMBERMARTWJC. Photos of backyard rinks, homemade Stanley Cups, games, practices and a very special wedding were among the submissions. Photos were scored by a panel of judges based on their relevance to the theme, quality, uniqueness and the number of votes."Building on the success of last year’s contest, we wanted to continue to give Canadians the opportunity to share what hockey means to them and engage them with the TIMBER MART brand," says Jon Irwin, Vice President of Retail Services for TIM-BR MART Group. "We are thrilled to send the newlyweds to Helsinki and also glad to see our members benefit from the local brand awareness they’re receiving through the contest." In addition to the grand-prize trip to the IIHF World Junior Championships in Helsinki, Finland, weekly prizes of $100 TIMBER MART gift cards were awarded to 24 lucky photographers.
