The Wiarton Willie Festival’s Mac McKenzie Award carries forward the extraordinary volunteer spirit of Festival founder, Mac McKenzie.
Wyn Chivers, Willie Fest Committee Member, writes that this year it was a pleasure to honour and pay tribute to Paul Sutter as the recipient of the 2016 Mac McKenzie Award, presented at Wiarton Willie’s 60th Diamond Dinner Gala held Thursday, January 28th.
Paul has been a dedicated supporter of the Festival for as long as folks can remember. When people talk about Paul, there’s no doubt that he is a very special person who is always there when you need him, with such a great attitude that makes any job fun.
Being the owner of Wiarton Home Hardware Building Centre, Paul brings not just himself, but also the resources of his company to his volunteer work. With all that comes with an outdoor festival---that’s invaluable and extremely generous!
We couldn’t be happier to recognize the outstanding dedication of Paul Sutter to our community on the occasion of Wiarton Willie’s 60th Diamond Anniversary!
Paul was LBMAO Chair 2002-2003 and the LBMAO Industry Achievement Award Recipient in 2012.
