In June, Castle welcomed a new member location in the Maritime town of Baddeck, Nova Scotia on the northern shore of Bras d'Or Lake on Cape Breton Island. Baddeck Building Supplies Company Limited is the newest independent to join the Castle group.
Established in 1967 during Canada’s historic centennial year, founder James MacDonald opened the doors as a full-service drive-thru lumberyard, building materials and hardware store. Baddeck Building Supplies has supplied the local community with all their construction and home improvement needs for almost 50 years and have also been a Pittsburgh paint dealer for over 40 years.
"We are humbled by the decision of Baddeck Building Supplies to join Castle. Their rich history will be a great addition to our member base and continues to strengthen our position in Atlantic Canada". Welcome to the Castle family". Ken Jenkins, President, Castle Building Centres Group
Today, sons Sheldon and Stuart MacDonald work hard to honour their father’s legacy and maintain that the key to their success is exceptional service and expert advice.
"Customer satisfaction is our number one goal and our staff go above and beyond to ensure that the customer experience at Baddeck Building Supplies is unmatched. Our employees are experienced and highly trained, and many have been with us for decades" Stuart MacDonald, Partner, Baddeck Building Supplies Company Limited
Over the years, brothers Sheldon & Stuart have looked at joining other buying groups but only Castle offered independence, stability and unprecedented buying power, in one complete package.
Castle would like to welcome Baddeck Building Supplies Company to their family. |
