Alexandria Moulding Announces Acquisition of House of Fara

Alexandria Moulding, a leading manufacturer and distributor of mouldings and related millwork products in North America, has announced that they have acquired House of Fara (HOF) based in LaPorte, Indiana (www.houseoffara.com). House of Fara is a family owned business founded in 1961 by the Fara family. They specialize in the manufacturing of standard, decorative and embossed hardwood mouldings, in addition to other specialty products. As Andre Cholette, President of Alexandria Moulding explains, "This partnership solidifies our hardwood supply and product offering through our distribution facilities. House of Fara has a strong, specialized team and is a cultural fit. We will leverage each other’s strengths to further enhance the value we bring to our customers.
The HOF assets will allow Alexandria to further strengthen their North American manufacturing presence so they can continue to provide best in class service to their customers.

Tom Fara will join the Alexandria team and support the integration and combined business over the long term. Mike Fara, Dan Fara and Mark Martin have announced their intention to retire.
The integration of both companies will take place over the upcoming months. House of Fara’s customers will continue to receive the same high quality products and service which they have come to expect. House of Fara will continue to operate in the same building, with the same people, and maintain the legacy of a best in class supplier. Current customer and supplier relationships will not be affected by this transaction.
Mr Cholette adds, "It will be business as usual as we continue to supply the market with quality hardwood mouldings."
