Home Hardware Announces New Director of Sales & Service Marketing

Home Hardware Stores Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Keri McMillan to Director, Sales & Service Marketing.

Keri has been serving as Manager of Marketing Operations at Home Hardware since 2020.In her new role, she will be responsible for Beaver Homes & Cottages, Architectural Solutions, Home Installs and Commercial Sales. Keri will report to Laura Baker, Vice-President, Marketing.

About Keri McMillan

Keri has been with Home Hardware since 2013 and has played an instrumental role in the success of Home’s Marketing strategy through her various roles within Architectural Solutions, Home Installs and Marketing Operations. Prior to joining Home Hardware, Keri worked within the design and home improvement industry developing an expertise in sales and project management, and has collaborated with contractors, trades people and architects alike.

 

Home Hardware Announces Return to Physical Market in fall 2022

Home Hardware Stores Limited is pleased to announce plans are underway to host an in-person 2022 Fall Market. The event is scheduled to take place from September 23 - 25 at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

“As public health measures ease across the country, Home Hardware is planning a reunion event that will bring our Dealers, Team Members, and Suppliers back together in a unique and exciting way this fall,” said Kevin Macnab, President and CEO, Home Hardware Stores Limited. “The health and safety of the entire Home team is always our priority, and we are hopeful the timing will be right to host a newly designed and reimagined in-person Market this September.”

Over the past two years, Home Hardware has been hosting Virtual Markets that offered tremendous value to our Dealer-Owners and Suppliers, demonstrating our ability to unite, adapt, and innovate in an ever-changing climate. As Home Hardware prepares to return to an in-person Market, we will continue to monitor the COVID-19 environment and adapt our plans to meet all public health regulations.

Home Hardware’s Dealer Markets are an important part of the company’s history and culture and as they have evolved, so too have their locations. The first Dealer Market was held in September 1963 at the arena in Elmira and as attendance grew, the Market was moved to larger facilities including Wilfrid Laurier University and Bingemans Conference Centre in 1965, where it was held for many years.

Since 1979, bi-annual Markets have been held in Home Hardware’s Distribution Centre in St. Jacobs. Due to growth and increased needs of the event, Home Hardware’s 2022 Fall Market will take place at the Enercare Centre in Toronto. Stay tuned for more details about our 2022 Fall Market.

 

Home Hardware Restructures Leadership Team and Welcomes Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary

Home Hardware Stores Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of William Zeyl to the new role of Chief Legal Officer (CLO), effective April 11, 2022.

In this role, William will oversee Home Hardware’s legal and compliance team and be responsible for company-wide legal, corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Effective April 25, 2022, following the Annual General Meeting, William will also be appointed to the role of Corporate Secretary and Dianne McTavish to Vice-President, Corporate Records.

“Will joins Home Hardware with more than 20 years of legal experience, including 12 years of senior legal executive management and advisory experience in the retail and finance sectors,” said Kevin Macnab, President and CEO, Home Hardware Stores Limited. “His expertise in developing and executing business strategy, combined with his strong management and leadership skills will be a tremendous asset to our team.”

William’s appointment comes as Home Hardware announces a restructuring of the Leadership Team to support our Vision to be Canada’s most trusted and preferred home improvement retail brand. This restructuring will see members of Home Hardware’s current Leadership Team change to a newly formed Executive Leadership Team, effective April 11, 2022.

The Executive Leadership Team includes Sean MacCormack – Chief Financial Officer (CFO); Marianne Thompson – Chief Merchandising Officer (CMO); Scott Bryant – Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Gino Gualtieri – Chief Information Officer (CIO); Rob Wallace – Chief Retail Operations Officer (CROO); John Dyksterhuis – Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO); Laura Baker – Chief Marketing Officer (CMO); William Zeyl – Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and Corporate Secretary; and Dianne McTavish – Vice-President, Corporate Records.

Home Hardware Dealer Named 2022 Young Retailer of the Year

Home Hardware Stores Limited is pleased to announce Adam Moulton - Dealer-Owner of Woodstock, Ingersoll, and Allandale Home Hardware Building Centres in Ontario - has been named a 2022 Young Retailer of the Year by the North American Hardware and Paint Association (NHPA).

The award, now in its 26th year, celebrates the up-and-coming generation of aspiring independent home improvement and paint retailers and recognizes the individual achievements of retailers 35 years of age or younger throughout Canada and the United States.

“It is an honour to be acknowledged by the North American Hardware and Paint Association and named alongside such talented young professionals,” said Adam Moulton, Dealer-Owner. “This award is a testament to the support and dedication of my entire team. I’m very proud of their hard work in providing our customers and communities  with the products and services they need.”

Adam Moulton was awarded Young Retailer of the Year under the category Multistore Retailers. Honourees are chosen based on several criteria, including professional milestones, continuing hardware industry education and community engagement.

Adam Moulton joined the Home Hardware banner in 2017 when he purchased Allandale Home Hardware Building Centre in the rapidly growing community of Barrie. He became Dealer-Owner of Woodstock Home Hardware Building Centre in January 2021 and added  his third store, Ingersoll Home Hardware Building Centre, six months later.

Community involvement and giving back are important to Adam Moulton who makes it a priority to support non-profit organizations and community groups such as Sakura House,  Woodstock and Barrie Food Banks, Autism Ontario and the Barrie Colts.

Adam looks forward to continuing to serve the communities of Barrie, Ingersoll and Woodstock and has exciting plans in the works with expansion projects scheduled for both his Woodstock and Ingersoll locations.
