On the heels of a recent announcement, Castle announced today another new member has joined the group in Atlantic Canada.
Fredericton Direct Charge CO-OP is the newest independent to leave their existing banner behind and join the Castle family. Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, the consumer co-operative building materials business currently operates with over 10,000 member owners.
Since their establishment over 75 years ago, Fredericton Direct Charge CO-OP has supplied quality home improvement products and hardware to consumers in the city of Fredericton and surrounding area.
The owners were becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of transparency they were experiencing with their former buying group, and the increasing cost of affiliation. This led them to seek alternative options and determined that Castle was the ideal fit because of their honest and transparent business model.
General Manager Paul King is looking forward to offering their valued customers a wider selection of new products which he feels is key to growing their business in 2023 and beyond.
“Castle’s business model continues to attract members from all banners because our transparent approach stands out! There are no surprises with Castle and independents who join our group can count on the lowest cost of affiliation combined with the lowest cost of goods in the industry. We would like to welcome the members of Fredericton Direct Charge CO-OP to the Castle family. ” Ken Jenkins, President & CEO
