Home Hardware Named One of the Country’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures
Home Hardware Stores Limited is proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures for having a culture that has impacted its performance.
2014 marks the 10th anniversary of the Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures program. The award was created by executive search firm Waterstone Human Capital to distinguish great workplaces where culture impacts performance. The winning organizations are selected by a panel of experts based on six measurement criteria, including: vision and leadership; recruitment and hiring for fit; cultural alignment and measurement; retention, rewards and recognition; organizational performance; and corporate social responsibility.
Home Hardware Stores Limited was founded on the belief that independent businesses are stronger together and has built a corporate identity based on value, service and dependability. The quality of the people – Dealer-Owners and staff – is crucial to the success of Home Hardware. Celebrating over 50 years of service, Home Hardware has nearly $5.7 billion in retail sales and almost 1,100 stores across Canada.
Winners were awarded with distinction of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures at Canadian Corporate Culture Summit and the Canada’s 10 Awards Gala on February 2.
"We are so proud to be named one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures. We share the honour of receiving this award with our Dealer-Owners and our Staff, who continuously demonstrate the culture of service that has made Home Hardware so successful. Their commitment to culture, loyalty and dedication to their work allows Home to remain focused on our goal of helping homeowners by providing expert advice and superior customer service." - Terry Davis, CEO, Home Hardware Stores Limited
"The winning organizations represent everything from large global retailers, construction companies, growing technology agencies, to well-known organizations in the public sector, and what is so impressive about them is that they share the belief that their culture is their competitive advantage. Each of them understand that building and sustaining a great corporate culture results in great performance." - Marty Parker, CEO, Waterstone Human Capital
