The Doors To CMPX 2018 Open March 21st!

It's the BIG one! – CMPX 2018 is the Canadian Mechanical & Plumbing Exposition, Canada’s National Show for the HVACR and Plumbing Industries.

 The CMPX 2018 doors open on March 21, 2018 for three action-packed days, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 21-23, filled with exciting new products and technologies, exhibitor experts from around the world that you can talk to in person, and an impressive slate of educational sessions and presentations.

The bright and beautiful 200,000-square-foot show floor at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building is again expected to be sold out! Over 500 exhibiting companies will be shipping their latest new products and technologies to display at CMPX.

New Product Showcase
CMPX 2018 will have the most impressive, most extensive display of new products of any plumbing or HVACR show or exhibition in Canada. CMPX is the best and most efficient way to see all the new products live and in person. Get hands-on at CMPX!

Impressive Exhibitor List – Interactive Floor Plan
CMPX attracts all the manufacturers, great and small and this year, we are seeing a larger than ever group of exhibitors from countries outside of North America.

The new Interactive Floorplan makes it fast and easy to locate the exhibitors you most want to see. At the www.cmpxshow.ca home page, open the “Interactive Floorplan,” click to open “Full Screen” and from there you can scan the Exhibitor List. Click the “Push Pin Icon” for the Exhibitors you are most interested in and that takes you to that Exhibitor’s Booth on the Floorplan - “Zoom In” for a closer look. The new Interactive Floorplan is available online, or in the new “Show App” - coming this February.

Learning Forum Sessions - Show Floor Theatre
CMPX 2018 will feature Daily Themes in the FREE Learning Forum sessions to be held in the show floor theater. Take in the sessions you are interested in and then get right back to visiting the important Exhibits. It's quick, convenient and there's valuable information for all the members of our industry.

Day 1, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 will be “For Owners / Managers of Contracting Firms” with a selection of speakers and topics geared to the needs of those running or managing businesses in the HVACR and Plumbing industries.

 Day 2, Thursday, March 22 will feature “Engineering The Future of Mechanicals” with sessions planned to address the interests of both engineers and also a wide range of senior professionals in the mechanicals industry. Topics such as Water Quality, Psychrometrics, Refrigerants and high efficiency Plumbing will be offered.

Day 3, Friday, March 23 is themed “Hands On Smart Solutions” and the day is tailored to the interests of Technicians and Contractors, giving them valuable new information with a “bottom line” focus.

Honorary Sponsors are important professional associations and industry organizations that will be at CMPX 2018. Many are planning presentations or educational sessions, for example ASHRAE. Check our online list of Honorary Sponsors and also visit the CMPX website and click, “Seminars & Educational Workshops” to learn about times and locations for sessions that may apply to you or your business.

Exhibitor Presentations
There will also be an online agenda at “Seminars & Educational Workshops” for Exhibitor Presentations that are open to Attendees. This will be posted at the beginning of March when these sessions are finalized.

 Wholesaler Program
For Contractors, Mechanics and other hands-on members of our industry, the Wholesaler organizations are a vitally important group. Every Wholesaler branch outlet across Canada received CMPX promotional material to provide their customers with information about the show. But the wholesaler groups do much more!

Many are planning their own business promotions at CMPX 2018 because the show is the major event in the HVACR and plumbing industries. Contractors should speak to their Wholesalers to learn what opportunities there may be around the show. Many Wholesalers who are within driving distance are participating in the CMPX 2018 bus program.

CMPX Heating Systems Gauntlet 

The “Heating Systems Gauntlet” (previously called the CMPX Heating Systems Technician Competition), features hands-on only practical challenges designed for secondary and post-secondary students to showcase their HVAC proficiency. Students must race against the clock to demonstrate, through practical application, their skills and task knowledge in the HVAC industry.

 Only one secondary and post-secondary student competitor will reign supreme with the title of Gauntlet Champion. From the viewing area, CMPX Attendees are encouraged to watch the competition in action on March 21st and 22nd.
