MCAC Conference keynote speaker selected for new advisory committee on skilled trades

Mandy Rennehan, MCAC’s closing keynote speaker at its Annual Conference in Nashville, has been appointed as one of three individuals to spearhead a new federal government Advisory Committee on Skilled Trades.
The purpose of this committee will be to provide feedback to the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, and help create a national campaign to encourage apprenticeships and promote the skilled trades as a career of choice.
The committee members are:
- Mandy Rennehan, Founder and CEO of Freshco
- Jamie McMillan, Ironworker and Founder of KickAss Careers
- Matt Wayland, Executive Assistant to the International Vice-President and Canadian Director of Government Relations for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
