Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series recipient profile: Sean Coey

Each week in Just the Fax, we will profile one of the recipients of our 2020 Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series. This week’s recipient is Sean Coey.
Sean, who is a fourth-year student in the University of Manitoba’s Mechanical Engineering program, received a scholarship from sponsor Federated Insurance. Sean was integral in the formation of the University of Manitoba’s student chapter and served as its vice-president.
“I, among several other student chapter members, have even been so fortunate to receive two job opportunities that I got through MCAM events and members with SMS Engineering as a junior mechanical designer and DMS Industrial as a project coordinator,” says Sean. He plans on returning to DMS Industrial after his last year of study so that he can complete his years as an EIT and get the P.Eng designation.
