The text of the letter follows:
The 23rd Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC) was held in Winnipeg for the first time since 2004 and was the most successful event to date with an attendance of over 10,000 youth! I would like to extend a sincere thank you to MCAC for your support.
As a Supporting Sponsor, MCAC’s commitment helps to ensure that youth entering careers in the skilled trade and technology sectors receive much-needed support. Essential Skills are a major component of all our programs, and our partners have become increasingly engaged in demonstrating the importance of these skills in the trades and technologies.
Again, my thanks to you and your team for supporting SCNC, and for sharing our commitment to Canada's future workforce in skilled trade and technology careers. We’re working towards leaving a legacy in each province that hosts the competition, which includes highlighting the importance of excellence in skilled trade and technology careers across Canada.
I hope that your organization will join us next year in Edmonton, where the finest in skilled trades and technologies will be featured in Western Canada.
MCA Canada also wishes to thank and acknowledge the staff and members of MCA Manitoba for their support and involvement in this year's Skills Canada National Competition in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Well done, MCA Manitoba!
